Not all classrooms
have four walls...

At Nature's Path Learning, we are passionate about enriching young minds through outdoor education and play. We believe that spending time in nature is essential for children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development. Our blog and digital download activities offer a wealth of resources for parents and educators who want to engage their children in more nature-based learning experiences.

"Sharing knowledge is the most fundamental act of friendship."

Our Curriculum

We nurture children's innate love of learning through a rich, experiential, and emergent curriculum. By following their interests and curiosity, we create a learning environment that fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love for knowledge.

Nature School Blog

Preschoolers are naturally curious about the world, and nature provides a wealth of opportunities for exploration and discovery. Our blog offers a variety of insights and real classroom experiences that you can do with your preschooler to encourage their love of nature and help them learn through play.

Resource Library

Even the smallest seeds can give rise to a majestic Oak Tree!

Browse our Free Resource Library to gather ideas, inspiration and the tools you need to start "sowing the seeds" for your next classroom adventure.

Flock Talk

We believe that many hands make light work, and by actively sharing our teaching methods and experiences, we can collectively enhance the learning experience for all children. That's why we've created a community forum, affectionally named "flock talk" for subscribers to share ideas and start discussions.

Our Story

Located in the “Quiet Corner” of Connecticut, The White Barn Children’s Center is a hybrid-nature preschool nestled in the rural town of Thompson. The Barn opened it's doors in 2022 after nearly 3 years of careful planning, construction and curriculum development with a vision that nature can serve as the foundation for all learning experiences.

Nature's Path Learning was born out of a desire to share our knowledge, discoveries, and tools for success

with other like-minded parents and educators.
